Welcome to the STAR 483 Bangor, Maine chapter, an official chapter of the STAR Touring and Riding Association. Chapter 483 was founded in April 2010 and we have been steadily growing since then. We hold chapter meetings, rides and events at least once a month  and also organize additional rides and events throughout the year. 

Members come from all over Northern, Central, and Eastern Maine from backgrounds as diverse as the motorcycles they ride.  

Chapter rides, meetings, and events are open to all, no matter what kind of bike you ride. The common thread we share is the love for the open road, and the many friends – new and old – gathered along the way.

Safety is a number one goal and as a family oriented association, we maintain a no drinking/no drugs policy, ride in a staggered formation, utilize standard hand signals, and all riders must sign a ride waiver to participate in official STAR Chapter rides.

STAR Touring and Riding Association Mission
To pursue, promote and protect the interests of motorcyclists; to develop better and more enthusiastic relations between the general public, the media and the operators and riders of motorcycles; to encourage rider participation in events; to promote motorcycle safety and camaraderie among members; to promote organized events; and in general, perform them in a lawful manner.
